Medicines

The administration of medicines is the responsibility of the parent, guardian or carer. Medicine prescribed 3 times a day or less should be given at home i.e. every 8 hours and should not be brought into school to be administered. If your child requires medicine 4 times a day or more, and is well enough to be in school, please inform the school office where a consent form must be signed with full details of how the medication is to be administered. This form can be downloaded here.

If possible your GP should be asked to prescribe medicine for dosage 3 times per day, medicines can then be administered at home.

If your child has an on-going medical condition, a Child Health Care Plan will need to be completed and kept in the School Office.
